Description
Barefoot footwear from the Spanish brand Zapato Feroz, developed following the guidance of paediatric podiatrists. Their models stand out for allowing babies to enjoy the sensation of walking barefoot in their daily routine.

The Bernia boots are water boots designed so little ones can enjoy and play outdoors even on rainy days. Although waterproof, they can be used daily, as they are equivalent to the brand's other models in terms of sole, toe box and flexibility.

Foot type: Ideal for medium or low instep feet. They are slip-on and do not open much. The velcro only helps to tighten and adjust the fit, but does not widen the opening, so they may not work for children with high insteps. They usually fit very well on narrow feet.

Materials:
Upper: Water-repellent microfiber that replicates the characteristics of natural leather. Soft to the touch, lightweight, resistant, flexible and breathable. Dries quickly and is easy to clean. It also carries the EU Vegetarian Union V-Label in the vegan category.
Lining: Technical fabric designed to guarantee waterproofing, with membrane and sealed seams.
Insole: Technical, removable and breathable, keeping the feet dry. It has a double layer with activated charcoal support to prevent the growth of sweat bacteria that cause odour. The highly breathable technical fabric keeps feet dry for longer and provides medium thermal comfort.
Sole: Flexible and non-slip rubber. Designed for safe and confident adventures. The sole has the minimal thickness needed to reduce impacts without losing ground feel. The natural rubber generates less waste due to its ability to be reused during manufacturing, making it more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

- Two velcro straps that help put on and adjust the shoe.

The first year when the child learns to master walking and balance. It’s still important to prioritise barefoot time whenever possible, but barefoot shoes become more essential as children get more active. In the first six months, the ideal models are the most minimalist ones, almost like a “second skin,” so the child has maximum freedom of movement without restriction. They can be used as long as the size is available.

Choose the size that leaves 0.8 to 1.2 cm of space (the maximum for comfort and longer wear).
Each size can be worn respectfully until there is only 0.5 cm left, and it’s considered too small when it’s below that.
