Description
Respectful barefoot footwear from the Spanish brand Zapato Feroz, designed following the guidance of pediatric podiatrists. These models are distinguished by allowing babies to enjoy the sensation of walking barefoot in their daily routine.
Foot type: Ideal for wide feet or high insteps, thanks to the double velcro that provides greater opening and adjustability. For thin feet, they may work, but there will be excess velcro.
Materials:
- Microfiber: Reproduces the characteristics of natural leather but withstands children's play better. Soft-touch, lightweight and breathable. Dries quickly, easy to clean and certified Oeko-Tex Standard 100 class I, guaranteeing it is eco-friendly and free from harmful substances.
- Lining: Technical fabric used in lining and insoles, designed to keep the foot dry for longer by moving moisture to the outside of the shoe.
- Insole: Lightweight, flexible and seamless. Made with breathable micro-perforated technical fabric and foam with activated charcoal to prevent bacteria that cause bad odor. Keeps the foot dry for longer. Removable and washable.
- Sole: Natural rubber, very flexible and non-slip. Designed to ensure safe and respectful first steps. Minimal thickness reduces impact while maintaining ground contact. Natural rubber generates less waste during manufacturing, making it more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
Features:
- Natural foot shape with wide toe box for free toe movement.
- Straight shape to accommodate the foot, with 0° big-toe adduction.
- Flat, thin (3.5 mm) and flexible sole that enhances ground feedback.
- Flat, removable insole with no elevations, adding protection and reducing moisture.
- Elastic laces and a velcro strap to assist with putting on and adjusting the shoe.
- Reinforced toe cap, strap and velcro in rubber for extra durability and easy cleaning.

The first year when the child learns to master walking and balance. It’s still important to prioritise barefoot time whenever possible, but barefoot shoes become more essential as children get more active. In the first six months, the ideal models are the most minimalist ones, almost like a “second skin,” so the child has maximum freedom of movement without restriction. They can be used as long as the size is available.

Choose the size that leaves 0.8 to 1.2 cm of space (the maximum for comfort and longer wear).
Each size can be worn respectfully until there is only 0.5 cm left, and it’s considered too small when it’s below that.
