The baby should walk barefoot until they acquire a correct gait pattern, but in everyday life, it is sometimes necessary to put shoes on them to protect or keep their little feet warm. Because of this need, Attipas was created: footwear designed to protect little feet when the environment or weather does not allow them to go barefoot. It is foot-friendly footwear that does not interfere with gait acquisition, allowing healthy development and free movement.
This is an autumn/winter model, made with sustainable cotton fabric, certified to the Oeko-Tex Standard. It has a taller sock-like upper and keeps little feet warm.
Mada Tip: If your little one has a wider ankle and the Attipas leave a mark, you can leave them overnight in a container so that they stretch slightly. Several customers have tried this and given positive feedback.
First Steps
When babies start taking steps without support. They should spend most of the time barefoot or in non-slip socks. The first shoes are needed once they start walking outdoors, to provide protection. They should be barefoot and minimalist to recreate the feeling of “being barefoot,” with a wide toe box for free toes, flexibility for natural movement, and a thin sole for sensory feedback and adaptation.
