Description
Barefoot footwear from the Spanish brand Zapato Feroz, developed following the guidelines of paediatric podiatrists to design and create their models. They stand out for allowing babies to enjoy the feeling of walking barefoot in their daily lives.
Foot type: According to the brand, they are suitable for all foot types (low or high instep).

Materials:
Upper: Nubuck microfibre that reproduces the characteristics of natural leather but withstands children’s play better. It is lightweight, breathable, durable and easy to clean. It has the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 class I certification, ensuring it is ecological and free from harmful substances. It also carries the European Vegetarian Union V-Level certification in the vegan category.
Lining: Unlined, offering maximum breathability for summer. Areas of higher friction are protected with technical CoolMax fabric.
Insole: Breathable materials thanks to micro-perforated technical fabric and foam support with activated charcoal, helping to prevent the formation of sweat bacteria that cause unpleasant odours. Keeps the foot dry for longer. Removable and washable. OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 ecological certification.
Sole: Rubber sole, highly flexible and non slip. Designed for adventures with confidence and safety. It has minimal thickness to reduce impact without losing ground contact. In addition, natural rubber soles generate less waste due to their reuse capacity during manufacturing, making them more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Natural foot shape with a wide toe box to give toes enough space.
Straight shape to accommodate the foot, with 0 degree adduction of the big toe.
Flat, removable insole with no elevation. Provides protection and reduces perspiration.
Velcro fastening to help put on and adjust the shoe.

First Steps
When babies start taking steps without support. They should spend most of the time barefoot or in non-slip socks. The first shoes are needed once they start walking outdoors, to provide protection. They should be barefoot and minimalist to recreate the feeling of “being barefoot,” with a wide toe box for free toes, flexibility for natural movement, and a thin sole for sensory feedback and adaptation.
Up & Go
The first year when the child learns to master walking and balance. It’s still important to prioritise barefoot time whenever possible, but barefoot shoes become more essential as children get more active. In the first six months, the ideal models are the most minimalist ones, almost like a “second skin,” so the child has maximum freedom of movement without restriction. They can be used as long as the size is available.
