Garvalín barefoot slippers featuring one of children's favourite cartoon characters: Bluey! They have a wide toe box that leaves the toes free. The sole is thin, flat and flexible, allowing children complete freedom of movement and sensory feedback.

Walking stage: These models are ideal for children in the gait acquisition stage, meaning they already walk independently, ideally for more than three months, as they have a slight protective edge all around. They can be worn for as long as sizes are available (up to size 25), while also offering good durability and resistance, as the rubber sole provides protection around the toe area.

Foot type: These models are versatile in terms of instep height, thanks to two Velcro straps that provide a wide opening for easy fitting and adjustment. In terms of width, they are a more medium-width option, so we recommend measuring the feet and comparing them with the size guide (the combined lateral allowance on both sides of the foot should be between 0.3 and 0.7 cm).

Composition: The outer and inner are made from fabric, with a removable and antibacterial insole. The sole is made from EVA and technical non-slip rubber. They are vegan.

The brand: Garvalín is a brand founded in 1968 in Elche (Alicante, Spain), a region with a strong footwear manufacturing tradition. From its very first pair, its main goal has been a commitment to quality and attention to market trends, including barefoot footwear. More recently, it developed a foot-friendly line designed to protect children's feet without restricting their movements. It also stands out for bringing something new to this type of footwear: its Sneakers and Sandals feature illustrations of one of children's favourite cartoon characters, Bluey!

    First Steps

    First Steps

When babies start taking steps without support. They should spend most of the time barefoot or in non-slip socks. The first shoes are needed once they start walking outdoors, to provide protection. They should be barefoot and minimalist to recreate the feeling of “being barefoot,” with a wide toe box for free toes, flexibility for natural movement, and a thin sole for sensory feedback and adaptation.

    Up & Go

    Up & Go

The first year when the child learns to master walking and balance. It’s still important to prioritise barefoot time whenever possible, but barefoot shoes become more essential as children get more active. In the first six months, the ideal models are the most minimalist ones, almost like a “second skin,” so the child has maximum freedom of movement without restriction. They can be used as long as the size is available.
