Description
Barefoot footwear from the Spanish brand Zapato Feroz, which follows the guidance of pediatric podiatrists when designing and creating their models. They are distinguished by allowing the baby to enjoy the feeling of walking barefoot in everyday life.
Foot type: Ideal for all instep heights. The velcro adjustment makes the model versatile. Regarding width, you should measure and compare with the size guide to ensure a clearance of 3 to 7mm.
Materials:
- Upper: Lightweight Nobuck microfiber that reproduces the characteristics of natural leather. It has a soft feel, is lightweight, resistant, flexible and breathable. It dries quickly and is easy to clean. It also has the V-Level certification from the European Vegetarian Union, vegan category. The difference between standard microfiber and Nobuck microfiber is superficial: standard microfiber has a more polished/satin finish, while Nobuck has a velvety/matte finish, giving extra softness.
- Lining: Coolmax micro-perforated technical fabric, designed with fibers that help wick moisture to the outside, keeping the foot dry for longer.
- Insole: Its materials are breathable thanks to the micro-perforated technical fabric and a foam base with activated charcoal, which helps prevent the formation of sweat bacteria that cause bad odor. It keeps the foot dry for longer. It is removable and washable. Ecological certification OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100.
- Sole: Made of rubber, highly flexible and non-slip. Designed for adventures with confidence and safety. The thickness is kept minimal to reduce impact while maintaining ground contact. In addition, natural rubber generates less waste due to its reusability during manufacturing, making it more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
Characteristics:
- Natural foot shape with a wide toe box to give toes space.
- Straight shape to accommodate the foot, with 0° adduction in the big toe.
- Flat, thin (3.5mm) and flexible sole, allowing greater sensory feedback from the ground.
- Flat, removable insole with no elevations. Provides protection and helps avoid moisture buildup.
- Features 2 velcro straps to help put on and adjust the shoe.
- Rubber toe cap and velcro reinforcement to increase durability and ease of cleaning.

The first year when the child learns to master walking and balance. It’s still important to prioritise barefoot time whenever possible, but barefoot shoes become more essential as children get more active. In the first six months, the ideal models are the most minimalist ones, almost like a “second skin,” so the child has maximum freedom of movement without restriction. They can be used as long as the size is available.

Choose the size that leaves 0.8 to 1.2 cm of space (the maximum for comfort and longer wear).
Each size can be worn respectfully until there is only 0.5 cm left, and it’s considered too small when it’s below that.
