Description
Barefoot footwear from the Spanish brand Zapato Feroz, designed following the recommendations of pediatric podiatrists. These models allow babies to enjoy the feeling of walking barefoot in their daily life.
Foot type: According to the brand, they are versatile for different instep heights.
Materials:
- Upper: Microfiber that reproduces the characteristics of natural leather while being more resistant to children's daily play. Lightweight, breathable, durable and easy to clean. Certified with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 class I and European Vegetarian Union V-Level (vegan).
- Lining: Coolmax micro-perforated technical fabric, designed to wick moisture to the outside and keep the foot dry for longer.
- Insole: Breathable thanks to micro-perforated technical fabric and foam with activated charcoal to prevent bacteria and odour. Keeps the foot dry for longer. Removable, washable and certified OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100.
- Sole: Flexible, non-slip rubber with minimal thickness to reduce impact without losing ground contact. Natural rubber generates less waste, making it more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

- Natural foot shape with a wide toe box for free toe movement.
- Straight shape with 0° big-toe adduction.
- Flat, thin (3.5 mm) and flexible sole for better ground feedback.
- Flat, removable insole with no elevations, offering protection and reducing moisture.
- Two velcro straps to assist with putting on and adjusting the shoe.
- Rubber toe cap and velcro details for added durability and easy cleaning.

The first year when the child learns to master walking and balance. It’s still important to prioritise barefoot time whenever possible, but barefoot shoes become more essential as children get more active. In the first six months, the ideal models are the most minimalist ones, almost like a “second skin,” so the child has maximum freedom of movement without restriction. They can be used as long as the size is available.

Choose the size that leaves 0.8 to 1.2 cm of space (the maximum for comfort and longer wear).
Each size can be worn respectfully until there is only 0.5 cm left, and it’s considered too small when it’s below that.
