  • Description

    Barefoot shoes from the Spanish brand Flexi Nens, a footwear manufacturer with more than 30 years of experience. They have always focused on quality, but more recently decided to reinvent their collection and create Flexi Nens, a line with 100% barefoot models that allow freedom of movement and respect the natural development of little feet. In this sense, they have a wide toe box, a thin sole with no elevation, they are lightweight and highly flexible.
    Composition: The interior and exterior are made of soft leather. The sole is made of rubber.
    Foot type: These models have a medium to wide insole and velcro adjustment, with a medium to narrow ankle opening. They seem versatile for wide feet, and it is enough to compare the foot measurement with the width in the size guide (the ideal lateral clearance is between 3 and 7 mm). They also seem suitable for low-volume feet and narrow ankles because they have a closed opening in that area, which usually provides a good fit. If the foot is wider, this is also fine, as the velcro straps allow expansion.
    Walking stage: These are more structured models with reinforced toe protection, ideal for children who have been walking autonomously for more than a year and are very active, able to run and jump confidently.

    The first year when the child learns to master walking and balance. It’s still important to prioritise barefoot time whenever possible, but barefoot shoes become more essential as children get more active. In the first six months, the ideal models are the most minimalist ones, almost like a “second skin,” so the child has maximum freedom of movement without restriction. They can be used as long as the size is available.

    Run & Play

    Around one year after they start walking, children usually master walking and balance. They run, jump, and play actively. For this reason, shoes—while still comfortable and barefoot-friendly—become slightly more structured with toe protection, to better support play and durability. Always maintaining the barefoot philosophy: maximum freedom of movement.
