Description
Respectful barefoot footwear from the Spanish brand Zapato Feroz, which follows the guidance of pediatric podiatrists when designing and creating its models. They are distinguished by allowing babies to enjoy the sensation of walking barefoot in their daily life. These respectful booties allow full mobility of the ankle.
The brand recommends them for all instep heights (high, medium and low).
Materials:
- Microfiber: Reproduces the characteristics of natural leather but withstands children's play much better. It has a soft and pleasant touch, is lightweight and breathable. It cleans easily and dries quickly. The Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 class I certification ensures the material is eco-friendly and free of harmful substances.
- Lining: Light winter lining with a thin, warm and comfortable fabric.
- Insole: Winter version, warmer and with high thermal comfort. It is flat, removable and without elevations. Made from recycled PET fabric with thermoregulating properties.
- Sole: Flexible nitrile rubber sole. Highly non-slip and designed to keep up with children's play. It has the minimum thickness to reduce impact while maintaining ground contact.
Characteristics:
- Natural foot shape with a wide toe box to offer space for the toes.
- Straight shape to accommodate the foot, with 0° adduction in the big toe.
- Flat, thin (3.5mm) and flexible sole, allowing the feet to receive more sensory information from the ground.
- Flat, removable insole with no elevations. Provides protection and avoids moisture buildup.
- Features elastic laces and a velcro strap to help put on and adjust the shoe.
- Reinforced toe cap, pull tab and velcro in rubber to increase durability and ease of cleaning.

The first year when the child learns to master walking and balance. It’s still important to prioritise barefoot time whenever possible, but barefoot shoes become more essential as children get more active. In the first six months, the ideal models are the most minimalist ones, almost like a “second skin,” so the child has maximum freedom of movement without restriction. They can be used as long as the size is available.

Choose the size that leaves 0.8 to 1.2 cm of space (the maximum for comfort and longer wear).
Each size can be worn respectfully until there is only 0.5 cm left, and it’s considered too small when it’s below that.
