Description
The traditional derby shoes we all know, now in a barefoot version. They are made of suede in camel color, with fringe and laces. They feature a wide, foot-shaped toe box, a flat zero-drop sole of only 3 mm, and great flexibility.

They are manufactured by Rooties Barefoot, a Portuguese brand created by Carlota, a mother who discovered barefoot footwear and its benefits when her daughter Teresa started walking. Rooties comes from "roots", symbolizing respect for the natural shape of the feet (our foundation, our roots).

Care tip: The brand recommends applying a colorless waterproof spray before use to help preserve the suede.

The first year when the child learns to master walking and balance. It’s still important to prioritise barefoot time whenever possible, but barefoot shoes become more essential as children get more active. In the first six months, the ideal models are the most minimalist ones, almost like a “second skin,” so the child has maximum freedom of movement without restriction. They can be used as long as the size is available.
Run & Play
Around one year after they start walking, children usually master walking and balance. They run, jump, and play actively. For this reason, shoes—while still comfortable and barefoot-friendly—become slightly more structured with toe protection, to better support play and durability. Always maintaining the barefoot philosophy: maximum freedom of movement.

Choose the size that leaves 0.8 to 1.2 cm of space (the maximum for comfort and longer wear).
Each size can be worn respectfully until there is only 0.5 cm left, and it’s considered too small when it’s below that.
